Walker Turquoise Butterfly Wings
- Natural old stock Turquoise (possibly Bisbee, AZ) Sterling Silver and 14KT Gold-fill ear wires, 2" long
- Inspired by the wings of a butterfly, these earrings highlight beautiful soft blue Turquoise stones that were purchased by my Grandfather in the late 60's or early 70's. I am not sure about the mine the Turquoise came from but after showing the tray that these stones came from to many Turquoise aficionado's, the consensus is that it is Bisbee Turquoise from the Lavender Pit Mine in Arizona (the mine closed in the 70's) and called, "Smokey Turquoise". I have used some stones from the tray of cabachons that these stones came from, and a few have changed color over time, which sometimes happens with natural Turquoise. Light for thier size, hopefully these beauties will help you flutter about or rather take a giant leap to take flight.
